This policy explains what information Hurricane Material Handling collects through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, contact us at info@hurricanelift.com.

Information you give us

We collect personal information only when you choose to send it:

• Contact and enquiry forms — your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. We use this to respond to you.
• Rental rate requests — the same contact details plus the equipment you asked about.
• Job applications — your name, email address, phone number, any cover note, and the CV or resume you upload.
• Accounts — if you have a staff or customer account, your name, email address, and an encrypted form of your password.

How we handle job applications

Your application and CV are emailed to the relevant hiring inboxes and stored on our server in a private location that is not publicly accessible. Only staff with the relevant permission can open them.

We keep applications for 24 months so we can consider you for future roles. After that, your application and your CV are deleted automatically.

If we hire you, your application becomes part of your employment record and is kept under our employment records practices rather than this 24-month period.

You can ask us to delete your application and CV sooner at any time by emailing info@hurricanelift.com, and we will remove both the application record and the stored file.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We group ours into three categories, and you control the last two.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off:

• Sign-in session — keeps you logged in while using staff or account pages.
• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our forms from automated abuse. It runs on every page and communicates with Google in order to work. See Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Your cookie choice — we store your consent decision in your browser so we do not ask again on every visit.

Analytics — optional

With your permission we use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how people arrive, and where they run into trouble. This sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<id>, which typically last up to two years.

If you decline, these cookies are not set and no analytics data is associated with you.

Marketing — optional

With your permission we use Google's advertising features, including Google Signals. This allows us to:

• measure how our advertising performs and whether it leads to enquiries;
• show you relevant advertising on other websites and services (remarketing);
• see general demographic and interest information about our audience as a group; and
• recognise, where you are signed in to a Google account that permits it, that the same person visited from more than one device.

We do not sell your personal information. If you decline this category, these features are switched off for you.

You can also control Google's use of your data independently of this site through Google My Ad Center or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Changing your mind

Analytics and marketing cookies are only used if you accept them, and you can change your decision at any time — it is as easy to withdraw consent as to give it. Use the Cookie Settings link here or in the footer of any page.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the site and our business — currently Google (analytics, advertising, and reCAPTCHA) and Microsoft (email delivery) — and where we are required to by law.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@hurricanelift.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information we will update this page and revise the date above. Significant changes to our cookie categories will cause the consent banner to appear again.
